Neopost Canada enters a distribution agreement for its Document Systems with Formax

Following the successful partnership between Formax and Neopost USA, Neopost Canada has decided to increase its distribution of Document Systems (folders inserters) with the addition of Formax’s Canadian dealers.

Markham, ON, Canada - October 28, 2010 - In its continuing effort to expand sales opportunities across the country, Neopost Canada is pleased to announce that it has added another major distribution channel to its Document Systems product line.

Effective November 1st 2010, Formax, one of Neopost’s long-term strategic partners, will market, sell and service the low- and mid-volume desktop Document Systems – from the SI-30 to the SI-92 – in Canada under the Formax brand name through their dealer channel. “I am delighted to announce our partnership with Formax, who has successfully helped our US operations over the years” comments Lou Gizzarelli, President of Neopost Canada.

Mutually Beneficial Business Partnership

Neopost’s Direct and Dealer sales teams currently sell Formax’s PF-60/80/90 Letter Folders across Canada. Formax’s dealer channel sells Neopost’s low- and mid-volume DS line across the US, and it is a natural extension of this business relationship that Formax’s Canadian dealer network offers this suite of products north of the border.

The benefits of this new partnership are tremendous as the synergies will stimulate market activity across the country.

A Product Line Continuously Strengthened By Innovation & New Products

From the SI-30 to the DS-1200, Neopost’s Document Systems range offers a solution for every company looking for mail processing efficiencies and greater security. Neopost invented the table-top folders and inserters and has since continued to innovate introducing new features such as load’n Go, flexFeed and powerFold. More recently, Neopost has taken intelligence and security to a new level with the introduction of the DS-1200 in 2010.

Founded in 1987, Formax is a privately held company with corporate headquarters in New Hampshire and manufacturing in California. It specializes in the design, manufacturing and distribution of paper handling equipment that streamlines paper and mailflow in companies, schools and municipalities throughout North America.

Introducing Intelligent Systems – so easy a kid can use them!

Markham, ON, Canada — October 27, 2010 — This past summer, Neopost Canada introduced its new series of IS Mailing Systems to the Canadian market. Redesigned to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced and connected business world, IS Mailing Systems help businesses simplify and improve mail processing. Now, Neopost Canada is launching Smart Solutions to promote this new intelligent equipment.

"Technological innovation precedes greatness" - Jesse

Smart functionality designed for simplicity

It’s simply smart business to use Neopost Canada’s brand new Intelligent Mailing Systems.

Fast weighing and accurate metering is now a snap with Differential Weighing. Users can easily place all of their mail on the weighing platform, regardless of its weight, shape or size, and the correct postage will automatically be calculated as you remove the first envelope! With energy efficient Smart Start technology, the IS Mailing System is always ready to go. Each time an envelope is removed from the weighing platform, the power feeder starts and quickly meters mail or prints a label with the correct postage amount.

Dynamic businesses count on smart productivity tools to do more than simply move the mail. The top-of-the-line IS-480 takes mail processing to a new level of intelligence and delivers productivity at its best. Its patented Dynamic Weighing Platform helps users move mail up to 10 times faster by eliminating most of the sorting required to weigh pieces individually or separate by shape and size. Dynamic Weighing automatically weighs, measures and rates all mail pieces quickly and accurately. Users will never lose money by wasting postage or have mail returned due to insufficient postage.

Mail operations run smarter thanks to myneopost

Neopost Canada’s Intelligent Mailing Systems connect directly to Neopost’s server through each customer’s personal myneopost account. Now users enjoy on-demand access to all of the services and supplies that they need to realize the full potential of their Mailing System.

Automatic e-mail alerts warn users about low ink levels, so running out of ink during an important mail run is a thing of the past. When supplies are low, customers can re-order ink and other supplies online when it suits them. Neopost can remotely monitor system performance and help resolve potential problems before they impact outgoing mail operations.

Postage information and usage stats are now just a click away. Customers can check postage account balances and view real time postal data online and 24/7. With myneopost, customers can track costs and enjoy complete visibility and control over postage operations.

From Intelligent Systems to the Smart Solutions campaign

Julien Desarnauts, Neopost Canada’s Director of Marketing, explains the unique approach Neopost took to launch Smart Solutions to the Canadian consumer:

"When working with our agency, Barefoot Creative, we realized that Smart Solutions captured all the value of our new IS Mailing systems. So much intelligence has been built into the new design that a 5-year-old kid could operate the IS system as easily as he would his Nintendo DS."

With Jesse, a five-year-old Kitchener-native, as its new brand icon, Neopost has developed a fresh campaign with a variety of complementary media to deliver its message: YouTube videos, a microsite at neopost.ca/smart, e-mails, direct mail and telephone campaigns are all targeting users and getting attention.

Julien Desarnauts is pleased with the response:

"This approach, similar to B2C campaigns, is a first in an industry long considered conservative and marks a marketing turning point in Neopost Canada’s 85-year history. We’re getting some excellent traffic and attention."

Established in 1925, Neopost Canada is the fully-owned Canadian subsidiary of Neopost SA, which is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange under the trading symbol NEO. Neopost designs, engineers, markets and sells solutions that facilitate incoming and outgoing mail processes, bringing strong added value to its over 800,000 worldwide customers. With products and services marketed in 90 countries and through subsidiaries in 18 countries, Neopost is Number 1 in Europe and Number 2 worldwide in mailroom solutions with 5,500 employees, 1,200 sales representatives and 300 R&D engineers.
