CSS Pre/Post Support Manager - Markham

With a focus on customer communications, shipping and tracking software (CSS), the CSS Pre/Post Support Manager will support pre-sales technical activities, project management, and implementation of Neopost’s solutions offerings. Working closely with our sales and technical teams and our customers, you will be responsible for account strategy and leading pre- and post-sales efforts, including planning, preparation, execution and implementation. Specific tasks will include supporting account executives defining customer needs and creating value-added business solutions, assisting with proposals based on customers’ needs, and liaising with the technical team in the configuration of software and installation implementation. Based in the Markham office, the role will be required to use online communication technologies, and have visits to client sites across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role will work with all sales channels to develop an initial view of the solution based on the customer needs; tailor the product or service to customers’ specifications; and ensure that the delivery provides the intended solution
  • Providing consultation to prospective customers, understand the prospect’s business and technical requirements as related to specific functions and/or capabilities of Neopost’s solutions, and work collaboratively with sales and technical teams to map product capabilities to those needs
  • Provide answers to customer/internal team inquiries concerning solution features and capabilities, and set mutually understood and accepted expectations related to our solutions, ensuring the success of post-sale implementations
  • Participate in the opportunity discovery process to identify and document business and technical requirements during the prospect qualification phase of the sales cycle
  • Create solutions that map to requirements or issues identified during technical discovery calls/meetings
  • Develop and deliver PRAs (Project Requirement Analysis)/POCs (Proof of Concept) and provide business benefit and ROI analysis, in collaboration with Specialists
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently
  • Manage hand-over to the Service functions (Post-Sales Support and Professional Services) for live project implementation
  • Act as liaison with the appropriate implementation team and the customer
    Work with Marketing team to share market trends, competitive pressure, and customer’s feedback
  • Assist in the development of formal sales proposals
  • Provide answers to (technical) questions in a Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Share product and process knowledge at sales meetings (Direct, Dealers) and training
  • Maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software offerings

Position Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent in training and experience
  • Strong ability to identify, document and articulate the business and technical requirements of a prospective customer during the full sales cycle – qualification, proposal, post-sale transition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills within all levels of the organization including C-level, in both English and French • Problem-solving ability and proven analytical skills and resourcefulness to effectively address customer-related issues
  • Aptitude for learning new technology
  • At least 5 years of business-to-business sales experience, preferably in software pre-sales planning, implementation and deployment projects
  • Demonstrated evidence of analyzing and documenting business processes
  • Ability to provide the correct information to the relevant parties within a timely manner
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, client management and organizational skills
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, persistence, discipline and a strong desire to succeed
  • Must be able to manage own time and work priorities
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint and Project
